Supermodel Adriana Lima Welcomes First Child

NEW YORK, New York --

Brazilian supermodel Adriana Lima isn’t just an angel – she’s also a mom.

The Victoria’s Secret beauty and her NBA star husband Marko Jaric welcomed a daughter on Sunday in New York City, a rep for Lima confirmed to People.

“Adriana and Marko are thrilled to announce they had a baby girl, Valentina Lima Jaric,” the rep said. “Mother, father and baby are all doing well.”

Valentina is the first child for both.

Victoria’s Secret Chief Marketing Officer Ed Razek offered his congratulations to the new mom.

“All of us at Victoria’s Secret are thrilled to welcome Adriana’s own little angel. I jokingly asked her if she wanted to walk the runway in our annual fashion show this Thursday night and, for a minute, I thought she was going to take me up on it! We congratulate her, and wish them all health and well being,” Razek said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

Lima, 28, and Jaric, 31, tied the knot on Valentine’s Day earlier this year. The couple eloped in a small civil ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Jaric – a former Los Angeles Clipper who now plays for the Memphis Grizzlies – popped the question to the supermodel on June 12, 2008 – Lima’s 27th birthday.

The two began dating in 2006.

Lima is the second Victoria’s Secret model to recently become a first-time mom – Karolina Kurkova gave birth to son Tobin Jack Drury in late October.
